The Brewery

The British Tunnelling Society 2009 Annual Dinner will again be held at the Brewery, our sixteenth year there.

The society invites its members, their partners and guests to attend the dinner. Tickets cost £85.00 per head. Most people book by the table (10 or 12) but we welcome bookings of all sizes to form mixed tables. When assembling mixed tables, we will do all we can to accommodate people’s preferences.

Download MenuWe begin the evening with the ever popular champagne reception in the King George III Room. Dinner is served in the Brewery’s Porter Tun Room Banqueting Centre, beneath Europe’s largest single span king post roof.

We have again invited a guest speaker to address and entertain the diners. We are delighted to announce that Gyles Brandreth is this year’s guest speaker.

To book your places at this prime social event, visit our online booking section – tables seat either 10 or 12, and individual places can also be booked. Payments may be made by cheque or credit card (not American Express): the website explains how to pay for your tickets.

When you submit your on-line booking, the website will issue an automatic email confirmation to you with an unique booking reference.

We recommend that you purchase wine and mineral water in advance from The Brewery. The Brewery’s wine ordering is now web based, and a link to it will be emailed to you with your booking confirmation. When you have made your selection from the wine list, please order your choice in advance direct from The Brewery, quoting your booking reference in the space entitled ‘Table No’. This is because table numbers are not allocated until immediately before the event.

This year’s menu can be viewed by clicking here.

We may be able to offer a limited number of “meeting point” tables in King George III Room on a first come, first served basis. Please contact btsdinner@jacobs.com

We again hope to offer early comers a cash bar from 6.30pm. Should you have any queries please contact btsdinner@jacobs.com
